I made a slideshow in iPhoto. I do not have iDVD. When I burn the slide show to DVD it does not play on the DVD player hooked up to my TV. I used the Burn app. I tried to export the slide show to movie mpeg4 and not quicktime. That didn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

If your G5 iMac is old enough to run Tiger it would have come with iDVD bundled with it as part of iLife. Check your install disks.
What you have made is a data DVD. You need iDVD to create a video DVD of your slide show. Post back with further questions! 🙂
No iLife on my install disks and computer won't install software bundle on the install disk. Guess I could buy it?
Yes you could, but what version depends on exactly what Mac you have and the version of OS X. Can you please confirm what these are?

Then it probably came with iLife 5, which was cr**, sorry, not the best version!
Try and find iLife 6 on eBay or Amazon. iMovie 6 was and is the best version of iMovie, far more useful than any subsequent version, IMO. iLife 6 will also include iDVD, which you should update to the latest version you can run. Should be version 7 but I can't be sure about Tiger. Version 6 is also good.
